342 - south side irish parade

i wish! instead i was working sending out the first shipments of election equipment. woo-hoo! i did, however make it home to walk the dog and catch the second half of the iu-osu game. i was starting to think that wanted mike davis fired may have been a little harsh. but then he reminded me why he had to go in the last 30 seconds of the game. that was quite a play he drew up-- have killingsworth screen at the top of the key to free up....who?!? nobody! finally, killingworth gets it down low, but by now the whole team is panicking b/c the play has completely fallen apart and they miss two 5-footers to lose the game. oh man, the only thing worse is that osu didn't even get probation, so there goes any hope of gettng thad matta (or any of his recruits).

343 - robbery

on the news last night they showed some guy dressed like a clown being arrested for robbing a bank at wells & eugenie. they caught him in the parking lot directly behind my old apartment! some guy caught it on video. it was on wgn's website, but now it is gone. if anyone finds it let me know. this reminds me of the time some homeless lady walked right into my apartment asking for money for a cab b/c she was "pregnant" and need to go to the "hospital"...lesson: never leave your door unlocked, you might end up with a clown tackling a pregnant lady on your kitchen floor.

speaking of robbing, i got my check for working all these extra hours. i immediately went and bought some pieces for my computer build:
keyboard, trackball (mice give me carpal tunnel), and hard drive (320gb).

344 - losing track

all the days are starting to run together now and all seem the same. i just wish this election would get here already (don't forget to cast your ballot for claypool). for example, i keep running into the same dogs every morning. a couple where the woman walks a stupid little pug and a guy walks an old cocker spaniel. i have a hunch these two are really having an affair and use this dog-walking excuse to meet on the down low. these dogs are always followed by a pack of shitzu's, one of which doesn't like me - mitzy! she starts barking and then they all go crazy. also, i thought it was friday instead of thursday and proudly wore my indiana shirt out to the warehouse. i starting talking trash and someone informed me i should hold my comments until tomorrow...damn. now i got nothing to wear tomorrow.

345- gas attack

new episode of mythbusters tonight! by far my favorite television series. tonight they gave me new confidence in the bedroom. no, not in that way. i just found out that missy's gas will not suffocate me to death! phew!

btw, usa lost to canada in the world baseball classic...pitiful.

347-down with norse

today is casimir pulaski day. this holiday only celebrated in illinois is in honor of the great polish general of the revolutionary war. i'm not polish or anything, but i'm sure casimir would be proud of the way i defeated the norsemen last week. i'm surprised i've gone this long without mentioning fantasy sports since it's a minor obsession of mine. right now, is basketball season, which i hate. i only play it to get myself from the football season to the baseball season. however, last week was a good one as i defeated the norse (actually my friend ian's dad) 7-2 to catapult to 7th place. not much of an accomplishment, but it does make me the "best of the rest" (teams that don't make the playoffs).

r.i.p. kirby puckett, how can you forget his catch climbing over the plexiglas?

348-oscar night

tonight is oscar night. i'm watching the bulls let another game slip away instead, however i did watch 'walk the line' last night in honor of it's oscar nominations. never really listened much to johnny cash in the past, but now i know why the guy's a legend.
