i started riding my bike to work again today, since i am convinced the cold weather is finally behind us. i find there are many benefits of cycling. 1) the exercise, 2)it's a time saver and 3) i don't have to deal with the cta and their ever increasing fares!
another side effect is venting of anger. for example, today some fat lady decides she can just cross the street wherever she wants and not have to worry about oncoming traffic. i zoom around her and she freaks out mumbling "you could have hit me". so, i yell back "i should have!" along with a few more exchanges not fit for this blog. ah yes, road rage is a beautiful thing.
on second thought, though, it probably was a good idea i didn't hit her since i remember ellis getting his face messed up when he collided with an oversized person on the lakefront (his bike was in even worse condition).
