305-five fingers

so i got a new pair of shoes today, and it was a lot of work. it all started one night flipping through conlu's popular science. i saw these shoes, the vibram fivefingers that were like a glove for your foot and made you feel like you were walking barefoot. i had to try them. they were supposed to go on sale march 1st, then they were delayed until the 15th, then on april 1st they were finally available. i got the 204th pair! (however, they were only available in orange/black). to add to the wait, they had problems with there website and i had to call them a couple days later to confirm the order...at least they gave me 10% off and free shipping, which i thought was nice until that turned into the worst part! they shipped them economy ups which means i only got one delivery attempt which meant i had to go to the ups warehouse to pick them up. so, i decided to go friday at lunch taking the bus. needless to say, the ups address is not the customer service address and i ended up walking a mile around the whole ups complex only to discover i couldn't pick up the shoes since my id address didn't match the shipping address! then i went today to try again. i printed out the invoice as my proof of address. this time i rode my bike down there and again they wouldn't give it to me claiming anyone could have printed that out from my email. luckily when i got home, my electric and phone bill came and i was finally able to convince ups of my identity and take my five fingers home! they better be worth the trouble.

also, check out bare foot ted. he's been testing these babies out.
